Hypnosis is shown to be a very effective tool in areas of behavior modification. Stop smoking commercials state, "Best results when used in combination with a behavior modification program." According to the National Institutes of Health Hypnosis is one of the best methods available for stress reduction & relaxation which enhances one's ability to respond to quit smoking suggestions.
Hypnosis is a focused natural state with the brain in an alpha, theta frequency somewhat like day dreaming. Changing the mind changes the brain which changes a behavior.
Five Critical Features for using this CD
Place: Find a quiet room where you can work undisturbed.
Position: Get comfortably supported. Use a bed, a couch or a recliner.
Clothing: Wear loose comfortable clothing.
Time: Schedule a fixed time daily to rotate the stop smoking tracks.
Focus: Focus on the particular reason you decided to quit smoking.
Important! Every night as you are falling asleep say to yourself 10 time "I quit" and create a picture in your mind of you as a non smoker. A picture of you healthy happy and in control of all habits. At other times if the thought of wanting to smoke comes into your mind - take a deep breath and visualize the reason you gave up smoking. Continually see yourself as a non smoker.
You become what you see yourself to be. Listen to some part of the CD at least once daily. In the morning and in the afternoon find 3-5 minutes to relax and meditate (go into self-hypnosis) and visualize yourself as a non-smoker, as having already quit.
The subconscious mind maintains what it thinks you are. We filter through the alpha theta brain wave state as falling to sleep, when driving and when day dreaming.
There are no feelings or emotions without thought. Only you can control your thoughts.

He has lectured and consulted internationally on matters of hypnosis, anesthesia, bioterrorism and HIV/AIDS for both civilian and military organizations.
